HTC One X10 entrance
The HTC One X9 will soon be succeeded by the One X10 with an expected launch rumored to take place in Q1 this year. The One X10 presents a minor upgrade over the previous year’s One X9.
The main noticeable difference between the predecessor is the camera receiving a bump to a 16MP rear Camera and an 8MP front Camera. The device is expected to feature a 5.5 inch 1080p display along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of Internal Storage on board and would run on the octa-core Mediatek MT6755V/C processor with a clockspeed of 1.9GHz. The same CPU happens to be present on the HTC Desire 10 Pro too.
Though the One X10 does sport decent specifications real world performance may vary considerably. The Mediatek chipset present inside can be be held responsible is performance doesn’t matches up to other HTC sets.
Mediatek SoCs are generally found in budget devices from smaller OEMs and the chipset manufacturer lags behind a lot when compared to Qualcomm. HTC may have opted for Mediatek considering that both companies share the same place of origin. The One X10 may ship with Nougat out of the box but that remains to be seen. CES and MWC may give us more clues on the device.
With the device recently getting the nod from Bluetooth SIG, it became apparent that its release is coming soon.
